Duncan Hogg and Gina Carruthers-Hogg, bought this hinterland property in 1993. They have since become enchanted with it’s forests and wildlife, and from an endeavor to keep the land as intact as possible have opened Alaya Verde as a luxury retreat Bed and breakfast for others to share in.

Alaya has been taken from Sanskrit meaning Abode and Verde – Green, The name reflects the feeling they have of living here in their Green Abode with all the nature that now surrounds them.
