    "When I first chanced upon 'Alaya Verde' on the net I knew it was just what I had been looking for to celebrate my husband's 40th birthday. We hadn't had a night away from our children in almost four years and we dearly needed some time to recharge and reconnect. Travelling along a dirt road through old growth forest to reach Ringtail Creek, our sense of anticipation rose and as we meandered up the driveway and discovered our accommodation nestled in a rainforest clearing we were both speechless. Gina greeted us warmly at the door and as the rain drizzled frogs splashed happily amongst papyrus reeds in ponds along our path. Our room was dreamy and the outdoor bathroom was pure bliss. It was clearly obvious that meticulous consideration had been given to designing an environment which resonated with nature and the senses on every level. Duncan's wholesome breakfasts have to be seen to be believed and they sustained us both days through until dinner.Fred the magpie entertained us during breakfast with his charming displays of endearment as he successfully poached our glorious muesli and sourdough toast. We will carry the essence of Duncan and Gina's hospitality with us for a long time to come.     We stayed only one night at Alaya Verde however we wished we stayed longer as soon as we arrived. The property is beautiful and the room was amazing. It's such a short drive to an amazing lookout and to the restaurants at Noosa. Duncan was an extremely accommodating host and amazing chef who clearly loves what he does. Would recommend it to anyone!
